I'm Havren Wright — a Full-Stack Software Engineer and former K-12 Technology Teacher based in Brookhaven, GA. I build web apps with React, Node.js, and MongoDB that are intuitive, purposeful, and user-focused.
Full-Stack Software Engineer
After 9 years as a K-12 Technology Teacher, I made a deliberate leap into software engineering. Teaching gave me something most developers take years to learn — the ability to understand users deeply, communicate complex ideas simply, and build tools people actually want to use.
I completed the TripleTen Software Engineering Bootcamp in April 2026, where I built and deployed full-stack applications using React, Node.js, Express, and MongoDB. I'm now actively seeking my first role as a junior developer.
I'm drawn to teams where engineering and empathy go hand in hand — whether that's EdTech, SaaS, or anywhere that values software with a human touch.

Real apps, deployed and live. Each project was built end-to-end — from design to deployment.
A full-stack wardrobe app that detects your location via geolocation and live weather data, then recommends clothing from your personal closet. Features user authentication, image URL uploads, and a RESTful Express/MongoDB backend — fully deployed with a separate frontend and backend server.
A news search app integrating the NewsAPI to fetch real-time articles by keyword. Built with React Router, reusable modal components, and a Figma-matched UI. Handles the full API lifecycle — loading, errors, empty states, and paginated rendering.
An interactive task manager built with vanilla JavaScript — no frameworks. Demonstrates core DOM manipulation, event handling, and real-time UI state management from scratch.
A web tool built to solve a real classroom problem — logging and managing technology curriculum implementation across grade levels, using Google Sheets as a live backend data store.
Full-stack tools from frontend to deployment, plus a decade of real-world IT experience underneath.
